Walk Leaders

Sue & David Eaton

The owners of Casa Carrascal and main walk leaders have 8 years experience in mountain walking at all levels, they will guide you through the area, showing you the most spectacular scenery, abundant flora and fauna and offer an insight into the history and culture of this fascinating region.

They are very caring leaders and ensure all of the group are comfortable and the walk is set at a suitable pace. They allow plenty of time for “photo stops” and flower and bird spotting – they work on the policy that walking is about enjoying the scenery and the beauty of the area and it is certainly not a race!

Many walkers have commented that they are often apprehensive when booking a holiday that they are going to be left behind and tell tales of struggling to keep up with a group who are travelling quickly – and when they do catch up because the main group are having a break – they set off again! This does not happen on a Carrascal walk.

Both Sue and David are first aid trained and can offer coaching on techniques of mountain walking.

Jacky & Mike

Jacky and Mike have a wealth of experience in mountain walking, both in Spain and the UK.
Before moving to Spain eight years ago, they had been leaders with the Cheshire Vale Royal & Knutsford Ramblers
Since relocating to the Jalon Valley, they have been active walkers with a number of groups and lead a number of walks for the Costa Blanca Mountain Walkers.

Walk Leaders

Our commitment to safety in the mountains is a paramount and to that end we always strive to have a minimum of two leaders for each group. As we have become more popular and group sizes have increased we often offer a choice of two walks per day, or a basic itinerary walk with an opportunity to extend for those who wish to stretch their legs! - Jacky and Mike give us that added dimension and offer support.  However, one of us will always be the main leader of the group.
