Today we walked with the Costa Blanca Mountain Walkers on one of our favourite walks. Our good friend Geoff Hall led the walk from Farmorca. It’s a 5 hour 12km walk with about 800m of ascent and the scenery is amazing.
The track weaves upwards with great views back to the village.
As we approach the ridge there is a really interesting rock formation.
We think it looks a little like the organ pipes in a church!
Before walking along the ridge to reach the summit, we admire the views.
We then follow the track along the ridge
With great views of the Guadalest Reservoir
We make the summit of 1370m – the highest peak of this range.
Then after a short break for lunch we descend through the “canal” back to Farmorca
On the way down, we are delighted to see our first orchid of the year – it’s a small Funereal Bee Orchid.
Thanks Geoff for a great walk.
